Navigating airports in foreign countries can be stressful due to language barriers and complex procedures. JetLingual was created to solve this challenge by providing a user-friendly communication tool that enables travelers to interact with airport staff effectively. The app integrates real-time translation, preset phrases for common travel scenarios, and voice recognition to facilitate smooth interactions. Our goal was to create an intuitive, reliable, and accessible solution that enhances the overall travel experience.
● The Approach
User-Centered Design: Developed a streamlined interface that allows users to quickly access translations and essential travel phrases.
AI-Powered Speech Recognition: Integrated real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech features to enable natural conversations between travelers and airport staff.
Scenario-Based Phrases: Provided preloaded translations for key travel situations, such as checking in, ordering food, or asking for directions.
Offline Functionality: Ensured users could access essential translations even without an internet connection.

User Research & Prototyping: Conducted surveys and interviews with frequent travelers to refine the app’s functionality.
Feature Development: Built and tested AI-driven speech recognition, real-time translations, and an extensive phrase library.
